REACH Delivery - General Background
Back to General
Overview Page
REACH Delivery was developed
solely in response to the new legislative requirements
of the REACH programme. With numerous software and
service options currently on the market to address REACH
registration and Safety Documents production, REACH Delivery was
designed specifically to meet the anticipated
requirements resulting from legislation in respect of
Safety Documents delivery, including
-
Vendor responsibility for sending Safety Documents and
associated documentation and ensuring receipt by their
customers
-
Vendor responsibility to ensure all
documentation is up to date and ensuring that customers
receive and use latest versions
-
The linking and tracking of Safety Documents and
associated documentation
-
Detailed audit trails to demonstrate
compliance and reduce risk from legal action
It is clear that
existing methods of delivering Safety Documents documentation are not
sufficient. The most common forms of delivery, email and
post, do not offer any form of guaranteed delivery,
there is no proof of delivery and there is no assurance
that a new version will actually replace the old version
once with your customers. Also customers are not alerted
to changes, prior to REACH Delivery there was no current standard
for sending and receiving documents and currently the
general administrative requirement is still
unnecessarily high.
REACH Delivery, has been in preparation
through 2009 and has a scheduled full release in
October 2010. Based on the existing proven Coview
document delivery system, REACH Delivery offers an unrivalled
service, providing a sophisticated many to many
communication environment for document delivery,
management and REACH compliance.
The introduction of
the service is the result of an extensive analysis,
discussions and design programme conducted with the
REACHReady group and a series of manufacturers,
distributors, importers, downstream users and
consultants throughout the chemical industry.
REACH Delivery is projected to
become the standard method of document delivery in order
to meet the compliance requirements for the industry.
