REACH Delivery Service - Add a New User for Distribution

To set up a new user to be able to access files that are "Distributed" to them in REACH Delivery the steps are:

1. Add them as a new internal point of contact

2. Modify their user data

3. Ensure that the REACH Delivery system is installed on the computer that they use.

Add a new Internal Point of Contact
If the Point of Contact (user) within your company is not yet set up on the REACH Delivery system then there are several ways to add a new internal user for distribution.   For example you can add the user during the process for distributing a file or you can add a user through the administration menu function "Manage Points of Contact".  To be able to distribute files to this user they must be a user in the same company that you are in.

Modify the internal users data
If you are an administrator you can manage a new users user data through the standard "Modify User Data" functions.  However, if you are not an administrator then you should locate your administrator an ask them to help.

The additional information is:

1. If you are still setting the internal user up then it will be flagged in the top bar that they have "Never Logged In"

2. If you are the administrator for the company then the users Password is available for you to change.

You should enter a suitable User ID and password for the new internal user.

If the user is only going to receive files internally then you can change their user role from "File Receiver" to "Internal File Receiver" or leave is as "File Receiver"

Ensure that the REACH Delivery system is installed on the computer that they use.
The new internal user will now need access to the REACH Delivery system.   If the user would normally log in to REACH Delivery on a Central Shared Server then they should already have access to REACH Delivery.  Otherwise, you (as the administrator) should now provide the new user with an invitation to install the software (usually this is as simple as forwarding your original REACH Delivery installation e-mail where there should be a 'link' to the installer on the e-mail). From this they can download the installer then run it.   Please refer to REACH Delivery Installation help.

Note regarding Open Access within REACH Delivery
Open Access allows you to provide access to any of the files within REACH Delivery that you own or have received, to anybody within the same company as you.  This is NOT the same as sending them the file as part of a message - it is simply changing the permission of the document, managed within REACH Delivery, so that the other user can access it through their REACH Delivery system.  When you provide access to a file to another user  by means of Open Access they are NOT informed that they have had that document distributed to them and will only know that they have access to the document by searching for it in their REACH Delivery - File Management sub-system.
